Account and support¶
Account controls¶
Open the account menu in the upper-right corner. Standard deployments show Account, where a user can manage email addresses, password/security options, and the Gradebird marketing-email preference. Sign out ends the authenticated session. Organization SSO deployments can omit local account-management controls.
Standard email/password accounts require email verification.
Invitations and links¶
Organization and course invitations are tied to an email address. A signed-out recipient is routed to sign in or create an account while the invitation remains pending. Acceptance succeeds only for the invited verified email. Organization invitations expire after 14 days; the course invitation page shows whether an invitation remains valid.
Students can open a released report link without a Gradebird account. Releasing an updated report keeps the link stable and changes the content available through it.
Marketing and survey email preferences¶
Marketing preference is global for an email address, not organization-specific. The email-preferences link can unsubscribe or resubscribe without login. Unsubscribed recipients are skipped by organization survey emails. Workflow messages such as account verification or a released student report are unaffected.
